Theseus and the Minotaur

Deep beneath a palace on the island of Crete lived the Minotaur — a fearsome creature with the body of a man and the head of a bull. It lived in a giant maze called the Labyrinth.

A brave young hero named Theseus volunteered to face it. A clever princess named Ariadne gave him a ball of thread to unwind as he walked, so he could find his way back out.

Theseus defeated the Minotaur and followed the thread to freedom — a story about courage and cleverness working together.
